Speak up - Philippines 2010

Speak up for the little girl who fell from a ladder when she was 2 years old and has a massive lump on her back as her family couldn't afford to take her to hospital
...for the baby whose shoulder has been dislocated for 2 years.

Speak up for pretty young mum's and teenagers whose teeth are so rotten from malnutrition they need to be extracted. (I pray new teeth would miraculously fill the gaps and they don't need to talk with their hands covering their mouths)

Speak up for the girls who have been violated and sexually abused

Speak up for the orphans who peered through the window while we were in church and then came and sat and danced with us

Speak up for the children who swim in polluted water and live at the rubbish dump amongst putrid waste.
For the mother of 3 who has lived at the there her whole life

Speak up for those who struggle to survive, who need food, water, and medicine for their sick Grandma's and babies

Speak up for the little children that slept on the streets and begged outside our hotel everyday in Butuan city.

Speak up for the young boy sprawled out sound asleep on the footpath and the 2 little girls playing at night in the middle of the highway.

Speak up for the beautiful teenage girl whose family can't afford to send her to school

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute...defend the rights of the poor and the needy" Proverbs 31: 8&9

"Now I have seen I am responsible, faith without deeds is dead..." (Brooke Fraser)

It is so much to take in, that kind of poverty is so far from our lives here. it really does blow my mind.
