Off to School

I stepped back into the classroom today after a fair few years...

As an overseas (NZ) trained teacher I had to attend a 2 day course last week and now a 2 week placement in a classroom. All part of getting my approval and 'number' to teach in NSW public schools.

I then hope to casual teach 3 days/ week. In the public system here you are locked into the same school for 3 years if you accept a full-time position. (& I still really HOPE to return to NZ) At this stage as well I would rather the flexibility of being able to work around my kids and all that's going on... and it's great being able to leave at the end of the day and not think about it!

Better start sending myself off to bed at a reasonable hour on school nights too!
