Lucky for him I remembered this 'Hands and foot reindeer' idea:
We drew around his foot for the reindeer's face and his hands for the antlers... and then got out the paints!
I originally saw this idea made with felt, a red pom-pom for the nose and google eyes...our ice-block box version just fine! Think I might keep it up my sleeve for teaching next week...
