Christmas in the City 08

Our extended family having an early Christmas get together here, so Mammie and Pa could come over and be with us in Sydney on Christmas Day Thank-you all so much! xox

It was great... Christmas in the city! We're living in a tiny studio flat at the mo (until we find a place in Sydney) so Mum and Dad booked us all into a hotel in the heart of the city. Again thanks :)

A fantastic 3 days together...the kids loving the hotels pool, sauna and gym on the roof-top, hitting the shops, a buffet breakfast every morning, and dinners out, going to the movies, on the monorail, lying on our beds looking at the city lights and watching DVDs all snuggled up...the boys really enjoying 'Space Chimps and older two learning to play 'Up and down the river'(Card game) with Mammie and Pa!

The kids here in their new PJ's which traditionally appear under their pillows on Christmas Eve.

When it was dark we dimmed the lights, put on Christmas music and Pa shared communion, and we all prayed, one of those heart-warming times!

...we then ripped into one present each and sat around til late playing with our new toys.

Lots of paper flying and "Just what i wanted" (Phew!) excitement Christmas morning!

We went to the Christmas service at Hillsong (City), where Miss E got picked out of the crowd and given a huge toy dog, which we carried off with us to an amazing Christmas lunch at another hotel... which was just spectacular, ice sculptures and all the works- such a treat!

Our first Christmas since the marriage break-up and dramas, but not as strange as we thought it may have been. BP came into the city and took the kids out for dinner on Christmas Eve and picked them up on Christmas Day at 2:30pm...the kids excited about another round of presents!

On Boxing Day I came back to NZ with mum and dad, and are here for a week while BP takes the kids to the theme parks on the Gold Coast.

Have enjoyed reading about your Christmas's with your families and wish you all the best for the New Year!
